For example, Powdersville is in Anderson County and its residents pay a different tax rate – both for sales and property taxes. What are the advantages to doing business in Powdersville?
Powdersville is one of the fastest growing areas in the Upstate, and many attribute that factor to its school system. Anderson School District One’s students typically score in the top five districts in South Carolina ─ no small feat, since the Palmetto State has 85 school districts.
Powdersville still has room to grow, and residents say they still sense the small-town feel, with neighbors who truly care about each other.
Its immediate access to I-85, Greenville, Atlanta and Charlotte also make it geographically very convenient.
The cost of living is low, and while there’s been a national slowdown in the national housing market, the Powdersville is one of the least affected areas.
