The Powdersville Business Council of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce held their monthly April luncheon Thursday, April 28, 2011, at the Powdersville Library.  Teri Donahoo and Katie Crispin from the American Cancer Society spoke to the group of chamber members.  The local American Cancer Society covers 12 counties in the upstate of South Carolina.  Katie Crispin, the director, is a cancer survivor herself for nine years and is very dedicated to raising money for the fight for cancer research.  One example is the Relay for Life held at Wren High School, a new location for the Relay in Anderson County.  The date is May 13 and 23 teams are in the relay.  The events begin at 5 pm.  For more information go to  www.relayforlife.org/northanderson.
